The majestic occurrence of transformation in tree life provides a parable:
First, it is ushered by the seed of a sower.
Then comes the release to its death.
Tiny sprouts spring.
Life crawls out from its resected shell.
Trunk appears.
Twigs arrive.
Growth forms.
Slowly but sorely.
While sap coalesce with wonder ...
... long obedience remains.
Life in Christ is pretty much so.
It is in the mundane and rugged following that we are thus formed.
